A remnant of the past, the Atchinson, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway depot siting along the tracks of the now Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway tracks defined by a passing freight train. The station now serves Amtrak passengers on trains calling locally on their journey between Chicago and Los Angeles, most notably the Southwest Chief. The Atchinson, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway Passenger & Freight Complex Historic District. The facility dating from 1910 is an Iowa Historic Site and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
