"HMH-463 of the US Marine Corps successfully completes its 250th aircraft recovery on September 19, 1968. Under the command of Colonel Samuel G. Boal, the CH-53 Sea Stallion helicopter lifts a UR-1E Huey from a location south of Dalang during a record-setting operation. HMH-463 has consistently averaged more than one aircraft recovery per day since it began operations in Vietnam on January 13."
