The ceremony of the « apple Tree » This is the oldest tradition of Plougastel, the only one in Brittany, and from Celtic origins. It takes place every afternoon on november 1st, in order to celebrate the dead people of the community around the tree. The “apple tree” is sold and the last family to give money keeps it for a year at home. This still occurs today.
