When the dy-namometer is not in use the arms are brought to the center andheld by four small jacks between the top of the arms and thecylinder casting. The dynamometer is so designed as to take andrecord safely a shock of 1,000,000 lbs. at the drawbar. RECORDING APPARATUS.
