This must be done to 112 MODERN BLACKSMITHING insure a good heat on the point, which is thicker thanthe mouldboard and therefore would not be hot enoughin the time the other parts get hot. When a mouldboard is worn out on the point a patchcan be put on, if the mouldboard is not too much wornotherwise. Cut a piece of soft center steel to fit overthe part to be repaired.
