Edison, ofNewark, in the county *bf Essex and State ofNew Jersey, have invented an Improvementin Printing-Telegraphs, and the following isdeclared to be a correct description thereof. This invention is made for printing fromone of two type-wheels at pleasure, by chang-ing the rmnting-pad from the line of one wheelto that of the other. By this means a printing-telegraph or anumber of instruments in one circuit can beworked, with one wire, and the impressions betaken from either the letter-wheel or the fig-ure-wheel, and the impression given by revers-ing the circuit. If, therefore, the telegraph is required forprinting letters, the same can be done withoutthe loss of time
