La Gorge de la Nesque is a dramatic limestone valley with steeps cliffs in the South of France. A GR Grande Randonnee route goes through it and up the other side. Right at the bottom is a chapel carved into the rock and a river bed which is dry in female walker in her 50s enjoys the splendid isolation.
