To his mind it would be extravagant to expend for stage fare,at the rate of $25 per day, money that had been earned by hard workat perhaps a half a hundred per month. Purchasing a burro, he started with his camping outfit for had saved considerable money and for this, probably, he was way-laid and murdered.
