The insulation must depend for its entrapped air upon theinterstices or cells of the material employed rather than upon alternate layersof solid insulation and air spaces. This new principle of insulation, which does away with double walls withair spaces between, has brought into vogue solid insulation, says a writer inthe Cement Age.
