SURIGAO STRAIT (July 3, 2017) Ensign Kristen Ringwall, from Milton, Ga., scans the waters of the Surigao Strait while standing the conning officer watch on the bridge of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Howard (DDG 83). Howard is currently deployed in the 7th Fleet area of operations. The Navy has patrolled the Indo-Asia-Pacific routinely for more than 70 years promoting regional peace and security.
