Gravity Chutes and Boom for Swinging 50-ft. Section at End ofCounter Weighted Chute. This was accomplished by rigging hoisting lines in sucha manner as to connect directly to hoisting bucket witha single line instead of passing the line through apulley on a bucket and fastening the end in the top ofthe tower. This worked a hardship on the hoist, espe-cially the friction blocks, but these were watched close-ly and renewed often and no serious consequences wereencountered.
