Tobuche (6495) (in cloud), Everest (8849m) (l), Lhotse (8516m) and Ama Dablam (6856m) from the trekking route to Tengboche

The main trekking route beyond Namche Bazaar winds around the hillside below Khumjung following the Dudh Koshi Khola before dividing at Sanasa, one path leading to Tengboche and onto Everest and the other to Gokyo. The once denuded hillsides (providing fuel for tourist lodges) are now protected as part of Sagarmatha National Park and have been successfully revegetated with forests of conifers and rhododendrons.
