An etched iron casket, Nuremberg, circa 1580, Rectangular casket of sheet iron on four semi-circular feet. Hinged lid with movable handle. Central key hole with blossom shaped cover, hollow shank key with openwork bow. The interior featuring a mechanism shooting four bolts, the base plate with well preserved, blued scrolling leaves. Inner drawer on the left side, the lid missing.
