19 November 1421, on the feast day of Saint Elizabeth much of Holland was flooded. In the Dordrecht region 23 villages were submerged and 2,000 people died. Inner Left Wing from a four panel commemorative altarpiece. The outer panels depict the disaster, with the breach of the dike on the right (image 2HDGADD) and the undamaged town of Dordrecht on the left (image 2HDGADJ).
