Y., and in construction is very similar to theother axle lathes built by this company. This machine is designed to be placed in a pit so that the axles hinge bolts. These fastenings can be released with less thanone-half turn of each nut and the upper half of the driving headoperates on a heavy hinge stud placed in the front of themachine.
