Professor and students photographing roots while studying plant diseases at the Agricultural College at Wageningen, Holland. Research into plant diseases and improvement of crops at the college was aided by insecticides provided by the Marshall Plan after the Second World War. The Marshall Plan provided aid from the USA to countries in post-war Europe.
