A six-room school was built in the village of Hoa Krang outside of Da Nang, Vietnam in 1967. Funding for the project came from the Marine Corps Reserve Civic Action Fund for Vietnam. The school was constructed by the villagers with the assistance of the 7th Engineers, 1stMarDiv. It was intended to provide education for 360 Vietnamese children.
