Grade 3 cervical cancer. Light micrograph of a section through tissue from the uterus, in a case of CIN (cervical intraepithelial neoplasia) grade III cervical cancer. Cancer of the cervix is rare and if detected early is almost always cured. If it has progressed to the grade III stage, or has invaded surrounding tissues, surgical removal of the tissue, and sometimes the entire uterus, is needed.
