Wasp Beetle; Clytus arietus
This insect is wasp-like, both in terms of being black and yellow in appearance but also in its behaviour. Flies mostly in sunny weather and often visits hedgerows and garden flowers. Seen May to July. Widespread and often common in Britain and Ireland.
