That this work is blessed not only to the women,but also to the men, in the houses visited we feel sure. One man after a longsickness died the death of a Christian, with prayer on his lips to the verylast. Shortly before his death he called his wife, and told her that after hehad gone she must not weep and be sad, because he was going to theheavenly country ; that she must never give up the Bible, for the Bible only. We feel that the work among the silk weavers is opening up in a most en-couraging way. The eagerness of these women—till lately so indifferent—to learn is a hopeful sign for the future. The past year the Bible womenhave done good work in the three great festivals. We feel that the Biblewomen have been very helpful in our Christian community, as well as amongthe Hindu women.
