A few of the spans of the impressive Foorde Valley Railway viaduct constructed in 1842-1843 by the engineer Sir William Cubitt, in the golden age of the steam railway Nineteen brick arches on tapering piers crossing Foord Valley, taking South Eastern Railway to Dover. Nearly 100 feet high in the centre.
