The scaling is the main featureof the eruption. The white discs have coalesced for the most part, and present the unmistakable features of psoriasis diffusa. If theflexor aspect of the arms of these two patients were visible, wewould doubtless find the psoriatic eruption comparatively sparse, ifnot entirely absent, while the syphilide would probably appear asabundant as upon the extensor surface, and very likely appear in thebend of the elbow, where psoriasis rarely if ever occurs. The lower illustration shows the infiltrated patches with aroughened surface or an ulceration with an irregular and underminedborder, which is characteristic of tuberculosis of the skin.
