Premantura, Croatia, May 22nd, 2016. hundreds of people attend today's unusual event from the sea-shore. the Vis, president Tito's flagship, the yacht where the Yugoslavian president used to meet powerful heads of state and artists from all over the world, becomes a submarine attraction. Arsen brajkovic, the present owner of the ship, was the last steersman in Tito's times. The ship's maintenance is too expensive, nobody helps him preserving that piece of history, so he decides to sink it near the coast, where the divers can visit it, a sort of submarine museum. The Vis is towed to the chosen location, a procession of boats follow the ship, their sirens salute Two explosions: the Vis sinks in five minutes. Now the wreck rests at 200 metres from the shore, 32 metres deep, in the Bay of Polje. - Ferdinando Piezzi
