The Seabees are attached to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 28, Shreveport, La., which is deployed to Guantanamo Bay in support of general engineering, construction and project management for Naval Station Guantanamo Bay. JTF Guantanamo provides safe, humane, legal and transparent care and custody of detainees, including those convicted by military commission and those ordered released by a court. JTF Guantanamo provides support to the Office of Military Commissions, to law enforcement and to war crimes investigations.
