Anal basis short. Intestinal cunul nliort. Scales very small, little imbricated, sonietinies scarcely imbricate at all, longer than deep, especially posteriorly. No barbel. Pseudobiancliiic present. Teeth 2, 5-4, 2, close set, compressed and hooked, \vitli<iiit grinding surface. Vertebno 42 to 46. Peritoneum dusky.
