DNA-bending protein. Molecular model of the Hbb protein (blue and green) bound to DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid, pink and orange). This protein is found in the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferiis, which causes Lyme disease. It bends double stranded DNA molecules over 180 degrees. It is thought that Hbb helps other proteins, such as those involved in DNA replication, transcription and recombination, bind to the DNA.
