Prices are lower than they have been for some time past and it is hojied that conditions will keep them within reason in the future. Lilies are coming along nicely, al- though it is doubtful whetlier they will arrive in time for Easter, owing to the arrival of a severe cold spell last week. Prices for first-class blooms will prob- ably be about the same as last year's. Various Notes. Sprays of Phalajnopsis Schilleriana and amabilis were coming into bloom last week at the Dale Estate. Charles II. Totty, of Madison, N. J., and L. B. Coddington, of New York, who were through the greenhouses last week, were amazed at the splendid condition of the stock. William C. Hall and Herbert J. Eddy, of Montreal, members of the executive committee of the Canadian Horticul- tural Association, were here last week on their way home from an executive meeting at Peterborough, Ont., where the annual convention is to take ])lace in August this year.
