A late 19th Century view of many spectators lining the sides of the River Thames during Henley Royal Regatta (or Henley Regatta, its original name pre-dating Royal patronage), a rowing event held annually on the river at the town of Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England. It was established on 26 March 1839, and became "Royal" in 1851, when Prince Albert became patron of the regatta.
