PAPER BOX CONPANYi^ ^^^1302-1308 West Division Chica^o^^ At the range of Dalledouze Broth- ers, Flatbush, we recently noticed ex- ceptionally fine stock of Chrysanthe- mums Clirysalora and October Frost. They have made fine growths and the foliage looks exceptionally clean and healthy. They have quite a stock' of Early Frost that is now flowering. Paul and Henry Dalledouze have gone to Alaska, and Eugene and wife have returned home from there. At the Henry Hession range. Flat- bush, one found great activity in car- nation planting and the stock looks well. A. Demeusey and G. Messeberg, also Flatbush growers, have good stocks of carnations planted. Considering the very wet weather of early summer, these carnations have done better than might have been expected. Much outdoor stock has not done well this summer. Walter Lee, manager for the As- toria Florist, 2188 Broadway, has just returned from a vacation of several weeks at the Delaware Water Gap. M. Vlachos, proprietor of the store, and wife, are now at a New England re- sort. John Donaldson, now of Patchogue, Jj. I., formerly of Elmhurst, and a popular and familiar figure in the wholesale district, was a visitor the past week. William Moore, of the S. S. Pennock- Meehan Co., Philadelphia, Pa., visited a number of old friends in this city, August 5, while on his vacation. Miss O'Brien, bookkeeper for Gutt- mau & Raynor, Inc., has gone to the Catskill mountains on a two weeks' va- cation. A. F. F. Horticultural Society of New York.
