A lunchtime high-contrast image of the Martin Place facing, northern facade of the Sydney GPO (General Post Office) in Australia

The GPO in Sydney, Australia was constructed between 1866 and 1891 and was designed by architect James Barnet. The Martin Place building is inspired by the Palazzi Communali of late Medieval and Renaissance Italy and is the finest example of the Victorian Italian Renaissance style in NSW.
