Idlib, Syria. 20 August 2022. An art exhibition is held in the opposition-controlled city of Idlib, in northern Syria. The art exhibition included paintings, calligraphy artworks, and mosaics, highlighting the suffering and hopes of Syrians amid the ongoing conflict. Part of the exhibition was dedicated to three-dimensional models of major historical sites of Syria, including the Aleppo Citadel, the Deir ez-Zor suspension bridge, and the Al-Omari Mosque in Daraa. The art exhibition was set up together with the first book fair organised in Idlib since being under the control of the opposition
