As we look upon the quaintportraits of those gentlemen, dames and maidsof a day gone by, and as we gaze upon the sloAvly rolling James fromthe wide portico of some colonial mansion, our thoughts turn back tothose sweet old days and we dream of the lives and loves of statelj^dames and lovely maides. Perhaps we wander back to those first sweethearts of wildernessVirginia, and with our love of the romantic we picture the duskybeauties in their wild woodland life being wooed and won by bravewarrior lovers.
