Herpes zoster also known as shingles or zoster is a viral infection caused by the same virus that causes chicken pox. People who have had chicken pox could get zoster. Patients with a weakened immunity are more prone to develope zoster. Weakened immunity could be caused by AIDS Cancers Leukemia or Lymphoma.
