The above cut shows our sprinkler on the Colorado Springs & Suburban Railway, Denver,Col. & ^* ,5* The spray is thrown from two sprinkling heads, found on either side, aboutthe center, near the trucks. The water is forced from these heads by two individual force ,run by a 30-horse power motor, and located at the end of the car. The amount of waterthrown, together with the width of the spray, is governed by levers at either end. An emer-gency brake is also supplied for quick work in the passing of a moving vehicle or running athigh speed. The sprinkling apparatus, as well as the car, can be operated at eitherend.
