Dissecting cellulitis in a Hispanic male patient. This scalp condition is a chronic suppurative disease characterized by many follicular and perifollicular inflammatory nodules. Those nodules suppurate, can join up, and may result in alopecia (hair loss) and scarring. It may be seen as a variant of cystic acne. The primary lesions are follicular and perifollicular erythematous papules which may progress to abscesses.
