New Type of Indicating Ohmmeter THE Thompson-Levering Company, Philadelphia, ismarketing a new type of indicating instrumentcalled the Vawter Ohmmeter. This is an aperiodic ordead-beat instrument and does not require any prelimi-nary adjustment calibration. Some eight different types. INDICATING OHMMETER of the instrument are being manufactured in order tomeet every requirement of resistance measurementsfrom microhms up to megohms and for any degree ofaccuracy to one involving an error as small as of 1per cent. One application of this instrument is to meas-ure the resistance of a section of electric rail containinga bond in terms of 1 ft. of the solid rail that is low-resistance type of this instrument, usedin conjunction with ordinary current-carrying shunts,indicates the resistance of transformer, armature orfield coils of low resistance.
