Southport, Mar, 2018. Plastic clean up on the beach foreshore on the 10th March 2018. Staff at RSPB Marshside, Ribble Estuary in Southport called on local volunteers to help with their ‘Big Marshside Clean-up’ litter picking event. Following recent high tides, the nature reserve has seen a large amount of plastic junk and other storm debris, washed ashore & deposited on the site, which poses a risk to wildlife and spoils the beauty of the area.
