The Daffodil is a Narcissus, a genus of predominantly spring flowering perennial plants of the amaryllis family, Amaryllidaceae. In Wales, a part of Britain, it is the National Flower of Wales and is worn each year on St David's Day, patron Saint of Wales which falls on 1st March – the day of his death in 589AD
