The central tier of panels has in the centre of eachleaf a lions head and ring, and between them the Virgin andChild repeated twice, and outside them to the left is S. JohnBaptist and to the right Elias. In the row below Elias and oneof the Prophets occupy the centre of each leaf with S. Georgeand the Dragon, and S. Eustace and his dog, both on horsebackand both repeated twice. In the next row, which is the third 192 DINANDERIE from the bottom, the inscription occurs in the centre panelof the left-hand leaf, with a group of two men fighting withsword and shield repeated twice, and a single archer repeatedthree times, but in one case reversed, all these men being cladin very classic attire.
