It is intended to be installed over themotonnans head, in the place usually occupied by the canopy switch, but may be placed elsewhere if desired. It can be quickly closed, thus avoiding Ihe iucon\-enience and dela\ inoidciU tn replacing afuse. This circuit breaker is intended for direct-current use, and is madefor capacities of fio, 100, 150 and 200 amperes, with a range from go. The resetting handle is connected to the switch leverthrough a compression spring, which insures a firm pressure andgood contact, regardless of ihe natural wear lo which the parts maybe subjected in service. The arc is broken in a powerful magnetic field which efTectuallyopens the circuit under the most .severe conditions. The contactson which the arc occurs are surrounded by a shield of insulating andarc-resisting material, which prevents the arc from being communi-cated to any other part of the breaker. The contact is made up ofcopper strips separated by spaces, each acting indepe
