Another, nestling by the mother, finds amusement in biting a twig, and the fourth, just emerging from the burrow, is very intent on the movements of a pretty Butterfly, which he will snap at if it comes nearer. The mother is a fine specimen of the Fox tribe, and her tail is a beautiful " brush " which many a sportsman would like to own. (Vulpes vulgaris.) (235).
