The Malayan Egg-Fly lives in forests and wooded area. The wings are dark brown with a slight blue tint on the upperside. There are two series of parallel white spots along the termen of both female of this butterfly tends to be slightly larger and has a heavier blue tint. The butterfly breeds gregariously, and there were many other individuals also guarding their eggs at the tree where this image was taken.
