A flintlock pistol, St. Germain à Paris, circa 1720. Octagonal barrel merging to round with smooth bore in mm calibre. There is a signature inlaid in gold on the flattened barrel rib. There is finely inlaid vine decoration around the front sight and the breech end of the barrel. The lock is engraved with a trophy bundle, a seated Mars, and a scroll containing another signature.
