For winter, on theflat-floored hutch, a layer of clean sawdust with straw overthat is the best. The droppings fall through the straw, andleave a clean, dry place. The sawdust alone soon becomeswet and dirty, and the animal is compelled to walk and lie inthis dirty, wet litter. Change such hutches at least once aweek. Take the hare out. Clean out thoroughly.
