Plant in hills eight to ten feet apart each way, and cultivate like the musk melon. To secure the largest fruit, have but one or two melons to a Cole's Early Melon COLE'S EARLY. This is the finest everyday Melon e^ er offered for the amateur and for the home-market. Being somewhat brittle, will not do for shipping purposes. It is very early and will mature in every state; very hardy, vigor- ous and a sure cropper. It is sweet and deli- cate in texture of flesh, which is a deep red color, the rind is thin and the quality of flesh is sustained clear to the rind. The melons are of medium size, nearly round in shape, rind green, striped vx-ith lighter shades. As this va- riety combines all the desirable qualities of the best melons, it can be highly recommended for home use. Per pkt. 5 cts., oz. 10 cts., ^4 lb. 25 cts., lb. 75 cts. GOLDEN SWEET. There are repeated calls for a yellow fleshed melon from customers. We offer this year a variety that will suit all. This is par excellence in quality, the vines are strong growers and whether fully grown or undevel- oped, there seems to be no difference in their quality, being exceedingly sweet and crisp. The flesh is bright golden yellow and makes a fine contrast with the red sorts for table service. They average about 20 lbs. in weight, and are good keepers. The meat is of a luscious sug- ary flavor and of a firm texture. A really de- licious yellow-fleshed melon is a novelty to many. Per pkt. 5 cts., oz. 15 cts.,
