'Imperial Conference of 1944', 1945. Meeting of the Commonwealth Prime Ministers held in London, 1-16 May, during the Second World War. Left to right: General Jan Smuts of South Africa, William Lyon Mackenzie King of Canada, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, John Curtin of Australia, and Peter Fraser of New Zealand. Consensus was reached to support the Moscow Declaration, and agreement was made regarding the respective roles in the overall Allied war effort.
