Natural stairways lead in places to the top, andat intervals, holes in the rock, round and deep, arcfilled with watei-, with possibly at the bottom a rem-nant of the stone, which, under the action of thewaters, has worn itself away in vain turnings aboutin its deepening prison. Ofthese holes, one, called the Devils Punch Bowl, isnearly six feet in diameterand about the same indepth. _.
