5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (May 29, 2017) Lt. Imad Barakeh, a Roman Catholic priest assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 22, hands out hymnals to Sailors aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Philippine Sea (CG 58) during a Catholic Mass. The ship is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
