A 1860 helmet for generals, of the Russian Guards Leather body with gilt brass mountings. The stamped gilded double-headed eagle bears an enamelled and silver Guard's star in the shape of the Order of St. Andrew with a master's stamp, "KE" and the St. Petersburg hallmark for 84 zolotniki. Helmet spike for general officers (locking pin missing). Convex, gilt metal chinscales with leather backing. Leather sweatband. Fine cream-coloured silk lining.
