A photo of a long service certificate awarded in 1929 to an employee for working 40 years for the same cotton milling company

The long service certificate was awarded to an employee of a cotton mill company owned by Caleb Wright & Co. The employer operated six cotton mills in the Tyldesley district of Lancashire. Caleb Wright (1810 - 1895) was a liberal MP from 1885 to his death. (Thanks to the Tyldesley and District Historical Society for this information.) Alfred Bond was the great grandfather of the photographer.
